How do you turn yield maps into decisions that pay?

Turning yield maps into decisions — cleaning data, spotting patterns, and proving what paid. Free from the FieldCommandCenter agronomy team.

The short answer

Most yield maps get looked at once and filed. The farms that make them pay do three things: calibrate the monitor before the data is collected (bad data can't be fixed later), compare zones inside a field instead of chasing the farm average, and hold a winter review that ends in decisions — a drainage fix, a seeding-rate change, a field that exits corn — not just observations.

What's in the full guide

  • Monitor calibration: loads, flow rates, and moisture sensors
  • Cleaning yield data before you trust it
  • Zone-vs-zone comparisons inside a field
  • Running a winter review that ends in decisions
